HGenium Revolutionizes Green Hydrogen Production
Through its patented process, HGenium introduces the first technology to commercially generate hydrogen through thermochemical water-splitting below 1000°C. Hydrogen could meet nearly a quarter of the planet’s energy needs by 2050. Almost all of the hydrogen produced today for industrial use is gray hydrogen, derived from natural gas through steam-methane reforming. The ability to produce cost effective, green hydrogen at commercial volumes has the potential to revolutionize, via decarbonization, numerous fossil fuel dependent industries.

trillion-dollar opportunity
A superior, clean hydrogen production technology
HGenium’s process for producing green hydrogen under 1000°C has the potential to significantly contribute to a world with cost-effective, renewable hydrogen. HGenium’s technology produces green hydrogen through a series of chemical reactions in a complete cycle to split water into hydrogen and oxygen using energy from non-carbon producing sources, such as solar, geothermal, or nuclear energy.
A cost effective solution
Green hydrogen is transforming and decarbonizing traditionally fossil-energy dependent industries like fertilizer production, refining, transportation, and fine chemicals production with a clean hydrogen equivalent. The use of heat rather than electricity as the energy source provides several economic advantages. HGenium has estimated that the cost of heat energy is approximately 30% the cost of electricity from non-carbon producing energy sources that convert heat energy into electricity. Additionally, for heat sources like solar that do not operate 24/7, heat storage is significantly less expensive and safer than electricity storage.
